I’m Y/N,” she continues after a moment, deciding to go along with Fred’s game.Īs George reaches a hand out to shake the one Y/N offers him, when the light catches on the diamond ring on her hand. “Well it’s very nice to meet you, George. It seems tonight that not only has he forgotten Y/N completely, but he’s forgotten the fact that they are already very happily married. At his and Fred’s birthday party last year he got so drunk he forgot it was his birthday, and he nearly cried when he realized he didn’t have a gift for the birthday person and one Christmas he had so much mulled wine that every time he looked at Fred he thought he was staring into a mirror. When George has too much to drink his brain often decides to momentarily delete information from his memory. It’s clear now, with how close George is standing, that he’s absolutely drunk out of his mind, and Y/N has to stifle a laugh. “Is that so?” Y/N asks, turning her full attention to George now. “But my brother here spotted you from across the bar and just would not stop talking about how beautiful you are, and we just had to come over here to say hello.” “Sorry to interrupt your evening, ladies,” Fred starts, giving both Y/N and Angelina a mischievous look. Y/N furrows her eyebrows at her husband’s weird behavior, looking to Fred to try and figure out what kind of weird game they’re playing. “You’re the prettiest woman I’ve ever seen,” he blurts suddenly, making a pink blush bloom across his cheeks. Her eyes sparkle even in the dim light of the bar, and the soft smile on her face is quickly turning his insides to mush. George leans up against the bar as he takes in the mystery woman, needing the extra support as he takes in this mystery woman up close. Y/N and Angelina eye them wearily as they approach, and Fred just gives them a wink. He helps guide George through the crowd, unable to keep the grin off of his face. “Mate you look great! Let’s go get you that bird, yeah?” he encourages, clapping George on the shoulder. Part of Fred wants to call Y/N over here and tell her to take her drunk husband home, but a larger part of him wants to see how this whole situation plays out. It’s disgusting really, that even when he’s so far drunk that he can’t even remember he’s married, the only woman that catches his attention is Y/N. He’s suddenly aware of how warm it is in the bar, and he grimaces as he pushes back the hair that’s stuck to his forehead.įred is just sober enough to realize he probably shouldn’t encourage his married brother to go and flirt with some random woman and after he takes a moment to follow George’s gaze he can’t help but laugh. “Do I look okay? Should I go and talk to her?” George frets, trying to smooth out the wrinkles on the bottom of his t-shirt. He isn’t as far gone as his twin, and George’s drunken behavior is the funniest thing in the world to him right now. George takes the shot effortlessly, barely managing to put the glass back down on the bar in his drunken state. “I’m in love,” he announces as Fred presses another shot glass into his hand, his eyes not leaving the woman. This mystery woman is perfection personified, and George would give his entire life’s savings to bask in her glory for even one moment. His eyes are drawn to the curve of her lips and he can’t help but think about what it would feel like to kiss her. Her head is tilted back in a laugh, and George would give anything to be able to hear what it sounds like as it falls from her mouth. He lets his eyes wander around the bar as Fred orders them another round of shots, and his jaw drops as he spots the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. Even though his body is reacting to the alcohol his mind is too far gone to register it, already feeling floaty and serene from the other drinks he’s already consumed this evening. “Holy shit,” George slurs as he slams the shot glass back down on the bar, wincing from the burn of the tequila slithering down his throat.
